TONIGHT'S ART NIGHT CANCELED due to severe weather (March 13, 2026)

The safety and well being of our shoppers and vendors remains our top priority and we have made the decision to cancel tonight due to the severe weather. This is a very rare occurrence as we have an open rain or shine policy, however, this is much more than that and it would be negligent of us to be open with flooding and the severity of the weather. We hope you will join us next Friday (March 20th).

Please Join us for a community meeting on Wednesday, February 11th from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the Hanapepe Hawaiian Congregational Church. Representatives from both Bowers & Kubota and the County will be there to facilitate and discuss some topics that need to be finalized as the contractor completes work on the West Side of the Bridge and transitions into the town. Topics will include the following:

  • Project Schedule

  • Access to businesses during construction/sidwalk pours

  • New parking layout

  • Landscaping/planters

OCTOBER is HALLOWEEN MONTH in HANAPEPE - Schedule of Events

October 4th kicks off Halloween month in Hanapepe with Art Night from 5:00PM - 8:00PM. The town businesses are participating in a 2nd Annual Halloween storefront decoration contest. Come see the spooky town decorations!

October 18th will be a fun filled Art Night from 5:00PM - 8:00PM with Keiki Halloween games at Caba Lemonade courtyard next too Kauai Coffee Roasters. Your keiki are invited to this free event where they can participate in different Halloween themed games to win prizes. Plus, keiki are invited to participate in a Halloween town egg hunt. 200+ Small orange jack-o-lantern eggs will be hidden all over Art Night. Please remember that while we try to discourage cars from driving through town on Art Night, Hanapepe Road is still open for through traffic. Keep a close eye on your keiki. No eggs will be hidden in shops.

October 19th is the family friendly, free outdoor Halloween movie night. Come early and grab a spot on the Hanapepe Hawaiian Congregational church Lawn. Kauai Sunset Cinemas will have a large outdoor movie screen and sound system for your viewing pleasure of the Halloween classic, Hocus Pocus starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy . Movie starts at 6:30PM.

October 25th is the final Friday Art Night in Hanapepe from 5:00PM - 8:00PM. Come participate or watch the Keiki and Adult Halloween costume contest in Sparky’s Garden at Storybook Theatre. Head on down to Farfetched and enjoy a Halloween party with a DJ, Beer Garden (pending), games and more!

Free Kid's Day Festival, this Friday at Japanese Grandma Cafe in Hanapepe

The Free Kid's Day Festival will be held Friday, May 3rd at Japanese Grandma's Cafe in Hanapepe from 4pm to dusk.  There will be games and Mother's Day craft making.  And it's also Hanapepe Art Night.  Artists, musicians and vendors of all types line the main street making for a wonderful family night out.  Please see the attached flyers.
